Last weekend (18-20 October), at the heart of London with more than 1,000 participants from 70 countries and all continents and regions, the World Congress of Family Enrichment was celebrated.
The World President of IFFD, Mario Armella, inaugurated the Opening Ceremony of Family Enrichment Centers Leaders, followed by its Secretary General, Javier Vidal Quadras encouraging innovation and better empowerment of families and parents preserving our voluntary and case-method trademark. “We want to bring the beauty of the family to all”, Leticia Rodriguez de Santiago, Family Enrichment Director, declared.
The aim of this London 2019 congress was to strengthen and invigorate the family. To this end IFFD brought together a unique group of highly acclaimed experts from around the world: Shaunti Feldhan, Sir Henry Burns, Laraine Bennett, Thomas Lickona, Tom Harrison, Renata Kaczmarska and Andrew Mullins shared with the audience their knowledge in managing different family-related issues.
In addition with the conferences, the Congress hosted working sessions and roundtables to discuss different challenges of the family life. Two amazing days full of knowledge about raising kids, family and wellness, technology, secrets of happy marriages and couples…
Also, the Congress represented an opportunity to keep on working to put the crucial role of the family on the public agenda. Among others, there was an strategic meeting with Global NGOs on Family Issues and the Division for Inclusive Social Development, part of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, to discuss the joint preparations for the 30th anniversary of the International Year of the Family.
